  • Whether you need food for one person or a crowd, please reach out with your request. Our catering team is ready to serve up a little or a lot of food, always made with love. 

     

    Our catering lineup offers business lunches, birthday fixings, funeral fare, nutritious homemade meals, and elegant food for celebrations.   We love catering for times when family and food intersect, like Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

  • We are available for catering 363 days of the year, but closed on Christmas and New Year’s Day. 

  • Timelines

     

    For standard lunch catering, we need at least 24 hours or one business day’s notice. 

     

    We can easily accommodate á la carte lunch orders for impromptu business meetings. 

     

    Our kitchen gets really busy, so additional notice is always appreciated!


     

    Urgent

     

    For urgent questions or last minute orders, please call our Catering Hotline, 376-6234, before submitting a Catering Request form.


     

    Planning Allowance

     

    If you are planning a private event or special occasion with us, we recommend advance notice for best results--the sooner, the better!

     

    Allow additional planning time…

     

    • During peak holiday season

    • To ensure ingredients are available locally

    • To special order for a custom menu

    • To allow for best pricing 

    • For coordination with other local vendors

     

    For events with up to 25 guests, allow 2-3 weeks’ notice.

     

    For events up to 100 guests, allow 3-4 weeks’ notice.

     

    For larger guest lists or complex events, additional notice is strongly recommended. 


     

    Bookings 

     

    We accept catering reservations up to two years in advance

    We’d love to work with you to curate catering for your event. If you’re feeling for a flavor that’s not on the menu, just ask. 

  • At Chives, we offer a variety of food, including many plant-based options. 

     

    We clearly identify dishes with special health benefits. We label meals that are gluten free, and dishes suitable for vegetarians or vegans. 

     

    With notice, we can work certain food aversions, but cannot serve customers with life-threatening food allergies. 

  • Once you submit a Catering Request online, we’ll get back to you right away to answer any questions and finalize your order. 

     

    We will provide an Order Confirmation itemizing catering particulars, your menu selection, and the cost. We accept your order with a 50% Deposit. The balance is due upon delivery.

  • Once you have paid a deposit, your Catering Order is confirmed. 

     

    If you need to add or make substantive order changes that affect the pricing, we will create a separate order and require a deposit on additional catering. 

     

    If your changes reduce the overall cost significantly, your deposit will be applied to catering balance.  

  • Deposit 

     

    Your catering order is accepted when we receive a 50% deposit. Please review our cancellation terms carefully. 

     

    Cancellation

     

    If you cancel 72+ hours prior to the catering event, your 50% deposit is fully refundable. 

    If you cancel less than 72 hours before the catered event, we will refund 50% of your deposit.

    In either case, these policies do not apply to the cost of special order items procured for your event. 


     

    Balance

     

    Your catering balance is due on the delivery date.


     

    Forms of Payment

     

    We accept cash, checks, direct deposit to our RBC account, and Visa or Mastercard. 


     

    Refunds

     

    Catering refunds are processed within 5 business days, either by check or by the credit card used for payment.
